iVision Youth Parliament (iVision YP) is a district-wide democratic simulation for school students, designed to help them understand how ideas become policies and how citizens’ voices can shape the future.
Students from Grades 6–9 step into the roles of youth delegates, discuss real issues, and practise respectful debate, collaboration, and decision-making. The initiative covers 183 Government Schools across 24 Educational Mandals in Hyderabad and culminates in a District-level Youth Parliament.
Students from Grades 6–9, primarily from 183 Government Schools across Hyderabad District. The program is inclusive of first-generation learners and supports participation in English with support in Telugu / Hindi wherever needed.
Teachers act as mentors, coordinators, and committee facilitators. They receive orientation and ready-to-use toolkits to help them prepare students with minimal additional workload.
The District Education Office (DEO) Hyderabad coordinates implementation across 24 mandals, with Mandal-level teams supporting scheduling, venues, and documentation.
Beyond speeches – it’s about shaping citizens.
Students who rarely speak in class get a formal platform to express themselves, in a safe and structured environment.
Children learn to listen, disagree without disrespect, and move from complaint to solution.
Concepts from Social Studies, English, Civics, and Environmental Science come alive through real-world themes and simulations.
Government schools and first-generation learners get the same quality platform as any high-end institution, aligning with NEP 2020 and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
By thinking about 2047, students begin to see themselves as future problem-solvers, not just exam-takers.

Structured caucuses, guided deliberations, and resolution-building — not a simple speech competition.
